Just keep swimming.

Blogging from A to Z Challenge.
Theme: Making movie lines our own.

"Just keep swimming."
Finding Nemo (2003):

Dory (Ellen De Generes) tries to encourage Marlin (Albert Brooks)...

DORY
Hey, Mr. Grumpy Gills...
When life gets you down,
ya know what'cha gotta do?

MARLIN
I don't wanna know what'cha gotta do.

DORY
Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming.
Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.
What do we do? We swim, swim.

That's good advice, Dory! I'll take it.

When I weary of a task. Just keep swimming.

Driving long distance and it's taking for-ev-er. Just keep swimming.

Still driving and I need a restroom. (No. There will be no thoughts of swimming.)

Hoping I can make it to Z in this challenge. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.

When do you use this line?

(This is the second line used from Finding Nemo for this Challenge. See Es-ca-pay.)

  2. Hi there! I wrote a post on "ten things writers can learn from Finding Nemo" last month - hope you don't mind me flagging it here: https://altheauthor.wordpress.com/2016/03/04/ten-things-that-writers-can-learn-from-finding-nemo/ Yes, it includes this line! I adore this film... :-)

Good luck with the rest of the challenge, fellow A-to-Z-er!

  3. lol. "Just keep swimming" always pops up randomly in conversation with my husband, my friends, my family, everyone. That line is so iconic. And it always makes me smile. :) I hope Finding Dory, coming out in June, is just as much fun as the original.

    Only 4 more days of A-Z! :)

    1. I saw the trailer for Finding Dory a couple weeks ago. I agree... I hope it will be as much fun as the original. Dory was my favorite, so I think I will enjoy her being the main character.
