Theme: Making movie lines our own.
"Put a pin in it."
In Bolt (2008), when Penny (voice of Miley Cyrus) voices concern about the dog's well-being, her agent (voice of Greg Germann) tells her, "Let's put a pin in it," and pokes an imaginary pin in the air, "Boop."
It's his patronizing way to delay (or completely avoid) the conversation. The line annoys me, so I don't use it.
However, it's linked to a cute memory of our oldest granddaughter.
The film released a year before she was born and later became her favorite movie. She even had Bolt, the stuffed dog.
When she was barely talking we would coax her with, "Put a pin in it."
Pinching her thumb and forefinger together, she would poke the air and say, "Boop."
So cute. (Hey, let me have my proud grandma moment.)
Great post! Even the proud Grandma moment, which I totally understand, being a grandma myself.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, I just saw this movie for the first time about six weeks ago, when I was watching my granddaughter. (Ugh, t!)
Loved your choice for 'P'.

I love watching movies with the grandkids. I probably would not have seen some of the more recent animated films if it wasn't for them!
