At first I thought I love food, too. But then I took pause. Do I really? Do I really love food?
I pondered on the word love. If I love something, I take care of it, cherish it, notice it, feel gratitude for it...
In the animated film Ratatouille (2007) when chef Linguini (voice of Lou Romano) meets food critic Anton Ego (voice of Peter O'Toole), they exchange the following:
Linguini
(awed)
You're... Anton Ego.
Anton Ego
(sarcastic)
You're slow for someone in the fast lane.
Linguini
And you're... thin, for someone who likes food.
Anton Ego
I don't like food; I LOVE it.
If I don't love it, I don't swallow.
In reality, I need to learn to love food.
So, with that in mind, and since this is a movie blog, I'll consider my relationship with food--from Apples to Zagnut--referencing specific movies and scenes.
Join me... let's savor Food in Film!
Can't wait to read all you're delicious posts during this challenge!

Co-Host, 2017 Blogging from A to Z April Challenge
Thanks for your comment. I still hope I can figure out how to make my links clickable in comments. I followed the instructions John posted on the A to Z website, and even searched other sites for directions. But, alas, nothing has worked... yet.
DeleteHaha, I remember that scene from Ratatouille :D
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun theme, with movies! Looking forward to this.
The Multicolored Diary: WTF - Weird Things in Folktales
I was just visiting your website and saw you have once again presented an intriguing theme. I'm excited for the challenge to start!
Deleteexciting theme. I will be looking forward to this one :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I checked out your blog and (says the woman with notebooks stacked on her desk) I am excited to follow your posts, too!
DeleteNow this is a theme that is of particular interest to me. I do happen to like food--often too much. But I have a particular fascination with film details and one of those is food. I like seeing prices on the walls of diners in old films, or look at menus when they happen to show them. But most of all I like to see what people are eating when they show those scenes. Food in film is a wonderful theme!

Tossing It Out Theme Reveal: It's About Time
Thanks, Arlee! I have most of my posts ready. I was amazed (and maybe a little embarrassed) that sometimes I could remember the food scenes more than the movie.
DeleteSounds interesting. Good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good luck wishes! Happy writing!
DeleteThis sounds like such fun Trudy - and maybe it'll help me appreciate my food a bit more too. We'll inspire each other :)
