I prefer my sandwiches to be meat and/or cheese on bread, with no mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise (especially mayonnaise) or other ingredients thrown in.<br /><br />You're right: as bad for you as the hydrogenated oils in margarine are, you're better off using real butter. When our butter is too hard to spread, I take a vegetable peeler and skim off thin slices of butter and place it on the bread.
