Take 31: Batkid Begins

Tuesday: My "take" on a film.

One Child. One Wish. Millions Touched.

Last summer I mentioned Batkid Begins in a post (click here), but only recently watched it.

When I selected the film on Netflix, my husband suggested the length (1h 27min) seemed a bit excessive for such a documentary. But the film was well-edited, holding our interest the entire time. And yes, we viewed it through teary-eyes during many scenes, happy tears...the kind that flow when heartstrings are tugged.

When Miles Scott told the Make-A-Wish Foundation he wanted to be Batman, no one realized how it would resonate with millions as San Francisco became Gotham City for a day.

The film not only documented the why's and how's of the event, but seemed to document proof there are millions of good people in this word. It boosted my hope for humanity. Thank you Batkid!
